Okay, so no excuses really other than frustrated about exercise and diet not working to push me over the mountainous plateau. BUT! Listen up people. I finally did it. This is what I changed so if you want to give it a try, please feel free. It worked for me so maybe it will for you as well.
I started counting macros instead of calories. This is really easy to do in MyFitnessPal so I just deleted the micros that MFP listed and kept/focused on the macros — carbs, fats, proteins. My breakdown was 100, 140, 50. I tried not to eat much sugar but, hey, a girl is gonna want to eat a treat now and then so I didn’t beat myself up if I popped a few Dove chocolates or had a bowl of ice cream. I just didn’t make those treats a normal part of my everyday nutrition.
I noticed a change in 2 weeks so I am finally down another 5 lbs.
I did have to let my trainer go because I just couldn’t afford it and life was taking control. There were other things that I wanted to do with that extra cash so I’m saving for a nice vacation to someplace fun and interesting. I’m not sure how I am doing on body fat/lean mass ratio so will check on that next month once I get my ass in gear and start going to back to the gym at least 4 days a week. Oh! Also, this is huge for me (maybe not for you). I started running and I am absolutely terrible at it — probably the slowest runner ever but I am keeping at it. I have noticed improvement but it has taken a very long time to notice. Cardio is just not my thing but this is a way for me to challenge myself and I love a good challenge so I’m going to continue as long as I don’t start to feel too many aches and pains.
Today I am going to sport a very interesting pair of leggins at the gym. They are black and white Nike brand and kinda psychadelic. I’m not a skinny minnie but I think these look pretty good considering I would never have worn them last year. Plus, today is leg day so what better way to rock a cool pair of leggins after your legs are screaming from pushing weights and doing squats and lunges. Can’t wait!
If any of you have facebook, go ahead and like Obarmuscle. Not only is he good looking but he knows his nutrition and gives some great advice. I owe the macro count to him. Shout out to Obar!
